Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together Bisquick, milk, and egg until just combined.
  • Fold in cooked sausage, shredded cheese, and optional seasonings.
  • Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, filling about three-quarters full.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly, remove from pan, and serve warm.

Notes

Use fully cooked sausage and drain well to avoid greasy muffins. These freeze and reheat well.
