Ingredients

  • 2 cans fruit pie filling (apple, cherry, or peach), 21 oz each
  • 1 box yellow cake mix, dry (about 15¼ oz)
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread fruit pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared dish.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layer. Do not stir.
  • Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much surface as possible.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Optional chopped nuts add extra crunch.
