Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and pour into pan.
  • Prepare cinnamon swirl: Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter until thick.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon mixture over batter and gently swirl with a knife.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm cake.

Notes

Serve warm for best flavor. Optional pecans or extra cinnamon for texture and spice.
