Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 pan with foil.
Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer covering the pan.
Melt butter and brown sugar together, then boil for 2–3 minutes until bubbly.
Pour toffee evenly over crackers and spread gently.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until caramelized.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top, let melt, then spread if using.
Cool completely, then cut or break into bars.
