Ingredients

  • 1 9 oz bag oyster crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place oyster crackers in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar, stirring constantly and bringing to a boil.
  • Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Stir in maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  • Pour mixture over oyster crackers and stir gently to fully coat.
  • Fold in chopped pecans, then spread mixture evenly onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
  • Cool completely, then break into clusters.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle warm bites with cinnamon sugar after baking.
