Instructions
Beat softened butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually mix in powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
Add heavy cream or milk gradually until frosting reaches a smooth, spreadable consistency.
Add orange food coloring if desired and mix until evenly colored.
Spread or pipe onto cakes or cupcakes, or refrigerate briefly to firm up.
Notes
Use fresh orange juice and zest for the best flavor. Optional: add cream cheese for a stronger creamsicle taste.
