Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
Cool briefly on pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For variation, add lemon zest or sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
