apple, thinly sliced
black pepper or red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Thinly slice the apple and remove the core and seeds.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place two slices of bread butter-side down and add shredded cheese.
Arrange apple slices over the cheese and add seasoning if desired.
Top with more cheese and remaining bread slices butter-side up.
Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and melted.
Notes
Slice apples very thin for best texture and balance.
