Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
Add bread cubes, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Stir gently to combine.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use day-old bread for best texture. Let the casserole rest before slicing for clean portions.
