Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked pasta or rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or tomato soup (10–15 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
  • 0.5 cup crushed crackers (optional topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper and drain excess fat.
  • Stir in cooked pasta or rice and soup until well combined.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese and optional crackers.
  • Bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.

Notes

Swap pasta or rice and add vegetables as desired.
