Instructions
Season chicken with salt, pepper, and a little minced garlic.
Heat oil or butter in a skillet and sear chicken until golden on both sides.
Remove chicken briefly. Add onion and sauté until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits.
Return chicken to skillet. Add herbs and lemon if using. Cover and simmer until tender.
Serve chicken with sauce spooned over the top.
Notes
