Instructions
Preheat oven and grease or line a baking pan.
Mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
Bake until top is set but center is still fudgy. Cool before slicing.
