Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix hash browns, 1 1/2 cups cheese, soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly over the top.
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Thaw hash browns fully for best texture and let the casserole rest before serving.
