Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 0.5 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough, quartered

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Sauté onion, carrots, and celery in butter until softened. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  • Stir in flour, then whisk in broth and milk until thickened.
  • Add chicken, peas, and seasonings. Simmer briefly and transfer to baking dish.
  • Scatter biscuit pieces over filling and bake until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Add biscuit pieces just before baking for best texture.
