Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 15 oz fruit cocktail in juice, not drained

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pan with part of the butter.
  • Mix flour, sugar, and remaining butter until just combined.
  • Fold in fruit cocktail with its juice and pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for best results.
