Ingredients

  • 2 bunches asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 ounce soft cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon chicken broth
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.33 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.125 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.33 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and arrange trimmed asparagus in a greased baking dish.
  • Melt butter in a skillet and stir in cream cheese, cream, broth, and seasonings until smooth.
  • Simmer sauce until thickened, then stir in cheeses until melted.
  • Spoon sauce over asparagus and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
  • Bake 15 minutes, add bacon, and bake 3 more minutes. Serve warm.
