Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Stirring spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Add onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add pasta and stir to submerge. Cover and simmer on low until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Add extra broth if pasta absorbs liquid too quickly. Adjust Parmesan and seasoning to taste.
