bread (Italian or sourdough)

unsalted butter, softened

garlic, minced

fresh parsley, chopped

cheddar or mozzarella cheese
optional
sliced tomatoes or cooked bacon
Instructions
Mix softened butter with garlic and parsley until smooth.
Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
Layer cheese on the unbuttered side, add optional fillings, and close the sandwich.
Cook in a skillet over medium heat until golden, flipping once, until cheese melts.
Notes
Cook on medium to low heat for even browning and full cheese melt.
