Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for about 1 hour or until fully cooked through.
  • Sauté mushrooms in a skillet until golden, then add cream and simmer until thick.
  • Rest meatloaf, slice, and pour mushroom gravy over the top.
