Instructions
Combine warm water and sugar, sprinkle yeast on top, and let sit until foamy.
Add olive oil and salt, then gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
Shape dough, let rise again, brush with olive oil, and score the top.
Bake at 400°F until golden and hollow-sounding.
Notes
For extra crust, place a small pan of hot water in the oven while baking.
