Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook Italian sausage in olive oil until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic until fragrant.
  • Pour in cream and chicken broth, add seasoning, and simmer gently.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season to taste.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
