Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (for caramel)
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for caramel)
  • 0.75 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease and flour a bundt pan or baking dish.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing just until combined.
  • Bake 30–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • Make caramel by melting brown sugar and butter, adding cream, vanilla, and salt. Drizzle over cake.

Notes

Allow the cake to cool fully before adding caramel for best presentation.
