Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened or melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix sugar and butter, then beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  • Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients and fold in apples.
  • Layer batter and cinnamon sugar in pan, swirl gently, and bake 50–70 minutes.

Notes

Let cool before slicing to set the swirl.
