Ingredients

  • 36 cookies golden sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 16 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 small boxes cheesecake instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 large cans cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix crushed cookies with melted butter and press into a 9x13-inch dish. Chill.
  • Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread cream cheese layer over crust and chill briefly.
  • Whisk pudding mix with milk until thick. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread pudding layer over cheesecake layer and chill.
  • Top with cherry pie filling and remaining whipped topping.
  • Sprinkle nuts if desired and chill several hours before serving.

Notes

Chill thoroughly between layers for clean slices and best texture.
