Ingredients

  • 16 whole mushrooms, stems removed
  • 8 oz crab meat
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • olive oil or melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare mushrooms by removing stems.
  • Brush mushroom caps with oil or butter and season lightly.
  • Mix crab meat, cream cheese, shredded cheese, Parmesan, green onions, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Fill mushroom caps generously with crab mixture and top with extra cheese.
  • Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and tender.

Notes

Avoid over-mixing the filling to keep the crab tender.
