Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 12 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove beef and sauté onion and bell pepper in butter until soft and caramelized.
  • Return beef to pan, mix well, and let filling cool slightly.
  • Place cheese and beef mixture onto egg roll wrappers and roll tightly, sealing edges with water.
  • Fry egg rolls in hot oil until golden brown. Drain and serve warm.

Notes

Let the filling cool slightly before wrapping to prevent soggy wrappers.
