I woke up one morning with a strange sensation on my upper back. It wasn’t painful, but it felt as though something had lightly brushed against my skin or perhaps crawled nearby during the night. Curious, I looked around the room and eventually noticed a small insect resting quietly on the wall above my bed.
At first glance, it looked unlike anything I had ever seen.
Its silhouette appeared almost alien. Tiny, oddly shaped, and equipped with what looked like horns or spikes, it immediately captured everyone’s attention. Soon, my entire family was gathered around trying to figure out exactly what we were looking at.
We searched online, compared photographs, and debated possibilities for nearly an hour.
Was it dangerous?
Could it sting?
Was it some kind of beetle, moth, or baby cicada?
The answer turned out to be far more fascinating than we expected.
