Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 3 cups water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
Instructions:
- Cook the beef: In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown ground beef with chopped onion over medium heat until meat is fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Add garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Build the base: Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes (with juice), water, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well and bring to a boil.
- Add pasta: Stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
- Let it sit: Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken up.
- Serve hot: Dish up a big bowl and dig in!
🧀 Optional Add-Ons:
- Top with shredded cheddar or mozzarella for extra cheesiness.
- Add a dash of hot sauce if you like a little heat.
🍽️ Serving Suggestions:
- Pair with garlic bread or a fresh side salad.
- Perfect as leftovers — it’s even better the next day!
💡 Tips:
- Want it extra saucy? Add an extra splash of tomato sauce or broth.
- You can swap beef for ground turkey for a lighter version.
