

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese (or ricotta)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Cook pasta: Boil pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Brown beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned. Drain grease. Add garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Make creamy layer: In a small bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese.
- Layer it up: In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer half the pasta, half the creamy mixture, half the meat sauce, and a sprinkle of both cheeses. Repeat layers, finishing with a generous cheese topping.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot: Let rest for 5 minutes, then scoop and enjoy!
