Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or deep pie dish.
- Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble: Pour the batter into the prepared dish. Evenly sprinkle blueberries over the top (they’ll sink slightly while baking).
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 45–55 minutes, until golden brown and set in the middle.
- Cool slightly & serve: Best enjoyed warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
🍽️ Serving Suggestions:
- Add a drizzle of lemon glaze for extra brightness.
- Try it with mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries) for a fun twist.
💡 Tips:
- If using frozen blueberries, don’t thaw them first — just toss them in a little flour to prevent sinking.
- Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat gently for that fresh-baked taste.
